THIS WORKS OK, BUT DOES LEAK MORE WATER THAN IS NECESSARY. OTHER THAN THAT IT'S GREAT.The top does not screw on for any type of seal; it just slips on. The applicator sponge is not attached, so it falls out as soon as you turn the bottle on its side or upside down to use. Great idea but poor execution. These do the job. You must give the bottle a little squeeze to make the water initially come out. But then you only use a light touch as a previous reviewer noted or the envelope will get fairly wet. However, I like the freedom for using unlimited simple water refills. I previously purchased some expensive envelope moisteners with glue at a local office supply store. The tip was dried out from the start. After washing it out under the faucet I was able to semi use it. Then when I tried to use it a few days later, the tip was all dried out once again. I returned them and bought these. Not perfect, but seem to be the best solution and the benefit of a 1-time purchase. These are fine, pretty much identical to others of this type I have used. Note that the packaging says "Transparent squeezable plastic bottle shows water supply." ROFL!! The bottles are completely opaque, a dark teal, exactly as pictured on Amazon. You absolutely can not see the water level. You have no need to see it, fortunately. After each use you should rinse the bottle anyway, and unless you are sealing thousands of envelopes in one sitting, you would never use a whole bottle of water.HandyWater comes out a little too fast if you're not careful. The first time I used it, I ruined the envelope and had to dry out the paper that was inside. Other than that, it is pretty self explanitory and does what it's supposed to. I have licking envelopes and I have heard that if they are in storage for a while, they can have all kinds of bacteria and mouse poop/urine on them which is not what I am lookign for in an envelope. I don't know it it's true, but I'm pretty sure I saw it on a news-type program. Anyway, why take the chance of eating mouse excrement. Just buy these and save yourself the trouble.I do not think the self-stick envelopes seal well, so I have tended to use the traditional envelope that requires moistening the adhesive. In this era of Covid I decided that licking to moisten should be a retired. This device works fine. Be careful, it might drip a little, but only if one gets the sponge part too wet. I am pleased with it.Easy to use, and sure better than licking an envelope
