I can't really review this product as I have not used it yet. I use Pan Pastels for weathering my models I build in HO scale, sometimes O scale. What I have been using with great success is just plain 1/8" or 1/4" brushes that I have been using for years. The same brushes are used for other weathering powders like Dr. Bens and Bragdon's, if your familiar with those. So as of yet, I really haven't found the need to use these and may never use them. They might work really well, but the brushes work great too. As a modeler, you probably have your favorite brush you use, and most of the time you don't need to add a lot of color, with these sponges, I would be spending (in my opinion) more time cleaning them than using them to weather models.That is not to say they are not useful, they are a soft smooth sponge, and maybe somewhere I might find a use, but for now, I will stick to brushes.They are so soft and strong. I can't believe how great they are. BUY THEM!Great for applying pan pastels to model locos and freight cars.
